Process Simulator

Presentation

The process simulator (PS) enables the user to have a full overview of the extrusion process from the feeder sections in the screw to the final output through the die bearings.

With this tool, it is possible to predict the extrudability of any complex profile, and to work out its expected productivity. It can also show extrusion process operators how to design and optimize their process parameters and can be used as a training tool for the related staff.

It correponds to a simpler but version of the 3D simulator for the die part, the simplification being based on the Multiparametric Reduction Mapping (MRM) method that enables one to reduce the complex 3D geometry to a few key parameters which are essential for the simulation.
