Partnership with ATIE-UNO Informatica

Overview
The Process Simulator enables the user to predict the extrudability of any complex profile, and to work out its expected productivity. It can also show to operators how to define and optimize their parameters, it can be used as a training tool for the related staff.
It corresponds to a simpler version of the 3D simulator, the simplification being based on the Multiparametric Reduction Mapping (MRM) method that enables one to reduce the complex 3D geometry to a few key parameters which are essential for the simulation. Press cycles can be computed in a few minutes even for the most complicated profiles (full / hollow).
The influence of various process conditions and parameters can be observed from the simulation results,.
Advantage of Process Simulator
Based on 2D dxf drawing, PS can be integrated into the production process, in partnership with ATIE-UNO Informaticaor, die design process.
Completely automatized, PS can be used by extrusion operators or a die designer
Fast and easy to use, PS helps you
- to optimize your press parameter set
- to understand the effect of die parameters on extrusion process
- define the taper for isothermal extrusion
PS can be integrated directly on the press panel.
Capabilities
Based on effective die design and aluminium alloy, PS predict:
Average profile exit temperature and velocity
Requested billet temperature and taper
To analyze the process user can check
- Ram pressure variation in successive cycles
- Temperature evolution (global and at specific locations)
- Velocity distribution
