Overview
The Heating and Cooling Optimizer (HCO) enables the user to perform the cooling process of profiles at the press, using fast simulations of the temperature field variations with time. It helps extruders to improve cooling process and reduce setting costs.
It has been automatized so that no prior knowledge of numerical simulation is needed to perform simulations. The user must only provide process parameters, using dxf file of the profile.
Advantage of HCO
HCO is customized according to the specification of each cooling system.
M-TD collects the necessary information to parametrize the software and deliver an interface similar to the control panel of the installation.
- HCO can be used by anybody
- HCO can be installed in the technical office or directly at the press
- Simulation cooling parameters can be directly transferred at the press
Thanks to its specific algorithm, simulation is computed in few minutes allowing to optimize cooling by several simulations.
User can easily visualize:
- Local profile temperatures and cooling rates along time
- Profile deformations along time
HCO propose different interfaces to visualize the result and generate report
Capabilities
- Simulation of cooling with air free, forced air and water spray
- Using of dxf file, position and orientation of profile into cooling system can be defined directly into the software
- Possibility to define several cooling setting cases and to compare them
- Visualization of local temperature variation along the time (movie)
- Visualization of local profile deformation along the time (movie)
- Detailed analysis using “Graph” to visualize temperature and cooling rate curves from any point of the profile
- Automatic report generation
