The cleaning of extrusion dies is essential for their maintenance. However, it generates a large amount of environmentally unfriendly waste.
MTD offers to extract the residual aluminium by placing the extrusion die into a solution of caustic soda with a concentration of 25 – 35%, in accordance with the latest EHS requirements. After the etching bath, the caustic soda is being reconditioned into sodium aluminate. This method is an efficient and economical way for cleaning extrusion dies:
